2013 Fine Art Exhibition of Taiwan Art Society
We are going to hold Fine Art Exhibition of Taiwan Art Society in coming January this year again at the
National Chiang Kai-shek Cultural Center. To take a broad view of history of Taiwan Art Society, from
initiation, inception up to the present, we had overcome hardships and difficulties, and completed
the registration of "the corporation aggregate Taiwan Fine Arts Association". Not only the Association has
become a big family we all trust and common struggle, but also a fast-growing garden for many members,
furthermore it become a place for members to strengthen their own meaning and achievements.
That this year's outlook will continue efforts to reach this mission and vision are as follows:
1.Build a cross-discipline platform for artistic creative development.
2.Network artists, critics, collectors and exhibitors (galleries).
3.Honor senior artists, while supporting the current generation artists and guiding junior artists.
4.Promote contemporary aesthetic discourse, forum and research.
5.Preserve and pass down the skilled crafts of the classical masters.
6.Continue to host international and cross-strait exchanges.
7.Emphasis on monitoring and advising government cultural policy.
8.Develop for perpetuity, artist empathy with minorities and individuals.
9.Open up the Taiwanese fine art industry for shared resources, healthy competition and cooperation
in an ideal atmosphere.
10.Set in motion the mechanisms for artists, artistic groups, academia, government departments
and private industry to cooperate andcommunicate.
Taiwan Art Exhibition in 2013, will be divided into two exhibition chronologically, namely the National
Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall and the Sun-son Art Museum; it is so touching that each member
exhibited two works which are carefully selected, recent masterpiece and representative self-evident,
truly very worthy of evaluation and appreciation.
Preparing the annual exhibitions is not an easy task; the whole event details are tedious.
Cautiousness is needed to handle the details. Special thanks to the honorary chairman Wu, the
Sun-son Art Museumthe council members, directors, supervisors and members, their vigorously
support make the exhibition more diversified. I would also like to thank the careful planning and
execution of the Council's Secretariat, because they stick to their posts and diligent Contact, make
the preparation of exhibition more successful. In addition, I have to express the most sincere respect
and gratitude for all the support and cooperation of all Members. Finally, thanks again for all the help
from the predecessors and friends of the Taiwan Association of Fine Arts, and sincerely hope that
you community leaders, art seniors, and all friends and relatives continue offering to this Council
guidance, encouragement and support.
